Q: I am taking up a new assignment in Bahrain. I have been offered equivalent of USD5000 + housing and car. I have 2 teenage children. What would be my monthly expense assuming a normal living style. Thanks
A: Go for it. USD 5000 is equivalent to B.D 1890. This is enough especially when you don't have to pay for transportation nor housing. You will be able to save a lot of money each month. Believe me, you will not spend more than B.D 1000 to B.D 1200 per month, and that's if you live a normal life. I have lived in Bahrain all my life, and tht salary is excellent for Bahrain. Average salary here is B.D 500. So imagine how you can live with B.D 1890.
