Hey guys i`m Egyptian and i was on vacation in Germany?

Q: i took the U-bahn and the train was kinda empty i tried getting a ticket from the machine but i didn`t know which tab to press on and those who were on the train couldn`t help me suddenly the ticket inspector came and asked for the tickets i told him i didn`t know how to use the machine but he insisted that i should pay 40 euros as a fine and he took my name and my passport details then we got off the train and he said that he would call the police but after i paid he said it`s no problem and he said i shouldn`t worry at all and that he won`t notify the police after that i apologized and then he went away.My question is : Will i be able to go to Germany again? Am i going to be flagged or something as if i commited a crime? Is this considered a crime according to the german law? please help me guys coz i`m really worried thanks a lot thanks for ur answers guys actually after paying the fine i asked the inspector how to make a reservation in the U-bahn and he told me to get a "Monatsticket'' for the whole month and it was perfect for me :D but actually i saw something one day in the U-bahn that pissed me off here it is: A ticket inspector came and said he wanted to check the tickets and everybody showed him the tickets including me of course but there were two punks standing at the door wanting to get off the train as fast as they can coz they didn`t have any tickets apparently and the inspector saw them yet he didn`t do anything he just pretended they were not there and they got off at the next stop.I know the germans respect the law and everything but this was soooo unfair coz u see i got punished for not knowing and they were not despite being familiar with the system anyway it was a useful experience and i learned a lot from it Apricota ur answer was excellent here r ur 10 pts :D thanks guys

A: Sorry you dealt with this situation. You shouldn't be worried, though. It's not about the German law, it's a 'Transportation law" and it's great btw. All you have to do is ASK how to use the ticket. I really hope you know the language. When i was in Europe early this year, i got warned about this situation and shown how to use the ticket. This ticket system goes with u-bahn, bus, and mostly all transportation. How it works: when you buy your ticket and get in a transportation (Bahn, U-Bahn or Bus) you'll find a box (which get your ticket stamped and recorded) you put the ticket in it, it'll get stamped right away and take it back. Usually the inspector isn't around all the time, but it gets really ugly when he comes and finds your ticket isn't stamped. Don't worry, nothing against you, it's just a bad situation and went away. I'm expected to go to Germany next year isA and i'm soooooo looking forward to it. Europe just ruuuules
