What's it like holidaying in Kenya at present?

Q: Boyfriend is going with his family, apparently there's high terrorism/crime levels, can anyone confirm this or give me some idea how dangerous it is? Thank you. Not sure if I'm overreacting here but I do care about him!

A: Hey, I understand your concerns. At the times of post elections I would not recommend it. I was due to travel myself but had to cancel. At present time, no problem. Take it from me, Your boyfriend is safer than I would be in Kenya. Off cause you should take some precautions when in a foreign country where you do not know anybody. As for Kenya, the storm is over and the boats with tourist have started to sail in! Don't worry. Do advice him though for me, he should not travel or go to unfamiliar places without a guide. And yes at night he should not roam around in dark corners of the streets. This advice depends on the location he is going to visit. Nairobi? Mombasa? Kisumu? they all have their ratings when it comes to safety. If he is Mombasa you could contact me and I will arrange that he is well taken cared of just in case you are still worried. Ask your tour agent for more details and if there is anything you need, do not hesitate to contact me.
