Q: I need to find a store that sells them, and has the best deal. If there are no stores than a good website. Im going there for two weeks and i want to be able to keep in touch with people back in the US. Cheap as possible!
A: I just got back from East Africa last week and the easiest way I have found after multiple trips to the area is to buy an international phone when you get over there. You can get a really cheap Nokia for like 10 dollars. An international Celtel SIM card is only a dollar then you can just buy minutes that you load on the phone for pretty cheap. Also you can give the phone number that will come with the SIM card to people you will want to talk to then you don't pay for the call, they do when they call you. Can't say I've seen any calling cards that don't load minutes on a phone before. Calling collect from a payphone always works too.
