Q: i didn't see to many places where you can use a credit card other than my hotel
A: The use of international credit cards is just kicking i in Nigeria as it was just intoruced into the Nigerian banking system barely 2 years ago. Before its inroduction it was basically in hotels. Today, in major towns like Lagos, Portharcourt and Abuja you can use them in some supermarkets, fancy restaurants, fast food joints, ATM machines; a selected few with which you can actually withdraw U.S dollars on (located at international airports) and travel agents. NEVER USE YOUR CREDIT CARD IN YOUR HOTEL. Your credit card details (name, add, etc) can be copied easily by eployees and sold/used later for a shoping spree on the internet. I know I might sound paranoid but Ive seen it happen many times. Its better to be safe than sorry.
