Q: would it be safe for a single woman to travel to the middle east alone ? what are the dangers ? I am a white single woman , blonde hair blue eyes , mid 30's , would it be safe for me to travel to Jordan and or Syria alone ? would it help if I dress as a muslim woman while I am there ?
A: Absolutely YES. i can speak about Jordan and UAE as i lived there for a while. yes these countries are very good, peaceful welcoming warm people. however remember they are different, and you need to watch where you go and your dress code. regardless of what other say, i lived in Jordan for 10 years before we moved to UAE. don't go to red light areas, don't go to cheap night clubs, in Jordan don't stay out late (later than midnight). watch your dress, and you will enjoy an excellent experience. I do recommend going there.
