Q: have you been there ? what was it like , how was the food what are the must See's and things to avoid any tips would be most welcome
A: I spent a few days there a couple of years ago, but I can only really comment on Windhoek and Swakopmund - the food was great. Really nice restaurants, German bakeries (in Swakop) and KFC! The scenery there is stunning, the weather can get VERY hot (it was 45 degrees C - 113F, in Sossousvlei when I was there), and it's relatively safe as long as you follow the usual travel advice.
