Q: are they all not the same people with similar culture sharing one language, culture etc??? like what is the difference between Palestinian Dabka Vs. Lebanese Dabke?

A: A common misconception about the Middle East is that the Arabs are simply a homogenous mass. When the first settlers arived in North America, they made the same mistake by simply classifying all Native American tribes as simply "Indians". Each individual area in the Middle East has its own dialect, accent, and culture. The Damascene dialect, for example, differs greatly from the dialect spoken in Jordan and Palestine. The same is true for Allepans, Beiruties, Bedouins, etc. At the same time, there are varying levels of what is culturaly acceptable. For example, a certain level of modesty might be acceptable in Beirut, but would raise eyebrows in Syria. Modesty and traditions vary from area to area. The Debkae, however, is one trait common to all Levantine countries. In short, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria have their own unique cultures and sub-cultures, though they are all linked through genetic traits and various general cultural rules.
