Q: Hi I'm planning a trip to South Africa from the Uk. I'm looking at exploring ex-british colonies to try and understand the effect of the British empire on Africa. This would mean driving through Sudan, which I know is dangerous. Has anyone recently done this? Is there a way around it i.e ferry along the red sea?
