Q: I am starting a small charity called Project Ethiopia and its for teens to send gifts and books to teens there own age in Ethiopia, how could I do that?

A: I am an Ethiopian-American and I had the pleasure of meeting the founders of Ethiopia Reads. It is one of the most organized and well-known charities in Ethiopia and it seems similar to your mission. (They give books to school-age children in Ethiopia.) This is their site: http://www.ethiopiareads.org/ Instead of going through the steps to start your own charity, it may be more reasonable to talk to the founders as to what your role can be in the established organization. With their help, you can assess the situation in Ethiopia, the needs, so on and so forth, and create a charity that may work cohesively with Ethiopia Reads. Here is the contact info:http://www.ethiopiareads.org/contact.htm GOOD LUCK!
