Q: My 15 year old daughter has been given the opportunity to travel to Ghana next year with the school and I am somewhat concerned (actually terrified) about the potential dangers of this country. Has anybody else had any experiences they might want to share with me or warn me about ??

A: If she is going with a group, she will be just fine! Let her go! It was a great experience and I would not trade it for the world. It's natural for you to be worried, but if you trust who she is going with, then everything will be fine. So I think that is what you need to consider, do you trust the group? Whatever you think it's like in your head, it's probably far from that... It's fairly civilized and no one will bother her. The most they will do is bug her to buy stuff, but if the group keeps it moving, she'll be fine. I was there for a month and did not have any experiences to be concerned about! In fact, I made friends two years ago that I still keep in touch with to this day! Good luck, hope this helps ps LET HER GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
