With all the xenophobia going on in South Africa...?

Q: ...does this not put pressure on the police force who would otherwise be engaged in responding to other regular crimes, do criminals take advantage of these situations or not?

A: Yes it does. Its so sad it's happening in South Africa. First of all the victims of these action are innocent and do not commit crime and struggle like most South Africans to make ends meet. The truth is even if foreigners are chased away, the crime rate of South Africa will still remain very high. Its also a sad thing because these idiots are not killing whites. I'm not saying they should, but there are plenty of whites in SA who are British, Dutch, Australian, or hold dual citizenship, why aren't they being targeted. This show whoever is behind this is just a criminal. No government response and all what Jacob Zuma can say is calm. We need action to be taken in SA. People are killing and robbing as they please and human rights organisations are after these criminal's rights. The death penalty should be brought to SA. How can one murder two girls and get 18 years for that? Serioulsy the problem in SA is not with the foreigners but with the lack of action from the government. Ask yourself after all these 200+ people that have been arrested, how many go to court and get jail sentences. NONE. We need action from the government to combat crime and is South Africa's biggest problem and not killing foreigners.
