Q: I hear about it a lot, but I'm not sure what exactly is going on. I heard about the board being dismissed or something along those lines. Any one know?
A: Mbeki hand picked the board without consulting with others. So the ANC gave a vote of no confidence against the board. But then the Board decided told and urgent meeting in the middle of the night without the CEO about the CEO and they decided to suspend the CEO and they gave him a call at 1:30 am to tell him that he is suspended. So the CEO being an advocate did the natural thing and he went to court. And it goes without say the courts sided with the CEO and now he is back at work. But now the board said they can still suspend him again and they are appealing the court's decision. All I can say is that its a sure case the board is going the ANC is not happy with them. OHl! I forgot the same night the board fired the CEO, the CEO had just fired the head of SABC News Snuki Zikalala in the news. Only for him to be suspended very early in the very next morning over the phone.
