Q: I've been to different places in SA but never Welkom and I know some people there, whats it like? haha!! My best friend lives in Boksburg! Man have I heard some stories from there!! LOL D405, were you neglected as a child? As you have the tendency to want a lot of attention. I see that when people start deleting your questions you don't like it eh?
A: The people I find usually very nice and their conversations interesting are not so nice today. Why ? I lived in Welkom for a while as my husband worked there. (No he did not work for the mines, he is a doctor). I cried when we moved there and I cried when we left. We had wonderful times there and made dear friends. As in all other places, even overseas where we live today, the people who stand out are not necessarily representative of how All the people are in that place. Go and visit your friends and they will show you the right places to visit and you will meet more lovely people. I was there during the tornado and it was touching to see how the people reached out to help each other.Please keep in mind that a lot of mines closed down and people lost their jobs -they need us to have positive messages for them.
