Q: Do South Africans expect the government to pay a ransom if they are kidnapped? By pirates or terrorists or whatever.
A: I know a lady who dated a Nigerian & married him. Unfortunately the husband died & she went to Nigeria to bury him. It was her first visit there & her late husband's friends tried to stop her from going yet she insisted. When she got there, her in-laws held her captive because they accused her of killing their son. It was terrible. Th SA Embassy had to intervene.
