Q: Is society to blame for acts like this? I know this boy was from Mos but by letting the immigrants in and supplying the boy with a weapon of which some one had to give it to him. Someone in the community I would think. Therefore, is society to blame for these acts? A: Skyli this is realling SHOCKING......my parents own a holiday home in Marloth Park!! It could have been my mother that was shot! Well society cannot be blamed for everything, you are born with choices to make, these two hooligans obviously made the wrong choices, I am glad the police shot the 12 year old dead, at least he is now out of the way......As for the 14 year old the problem with our Justice system in SA is is that are no place for juvenile offenders.....there are not enough reformatory schools, and they are usually all full, he cannot go to jail because he is too young, so you sit with these hardened juvenile criminals that keeps on committing horrendous crimes. In the USA he would go to jail with hardened criminals. Society is not to blame.....why did he shoot 2x at the woman? Why did his friend shoot back at the police? They could have handed themselves over? Mosambique is full of AK 47, I bet you those 2 boys came illegally accross the border just to come and rob and kill some innocent people in a peaceful holiday resort!! ***** To add to my answer and to try to explain what a problem we have with juvenile delinquents: because there is no place for the criminal in a ref. school he gets placed in a place of safety. These places have no security, it is also a place where for instance orphans and abused kids gets placed, until they can find foster care or a orphanage for them. These criminals usually abuse these traumatised kids even further....and then escape countless times, because there are not enough security, and then commit more crimes because they KNOW they will not go to jail......
