Q:

A: One of the big pluses about going to Cape Town in April is that it is not high season and the prices, especially of accommodation, go down. And because there are not hoards of tourists and the staff have more time to devote to you, the personal service goes up. You will want to take a rain resistant wind breaker and some sweaters. It can get quite chilly and very windy. But, as Lise and others have said, there are a lot of things to do and see. And the weather should not spoil shopping (some of the diamond outlets have tours that are good), museums, theaters, operas, concerts and things like that.
