Q: My friend's wedding will be formal. I have a full-length black dress with a scarf. The other option is a strapless red dress. Can I wear open toe shoes?

A: For walking around the city, you can wear pretty much anything. The weather is hot, so the lighter color the clothes, and the looser they are, the better. I usually wear shorts or skirts, and short sleeved or sleeveless shirts. The dress style is very casual. Weddings are a big deal though and people try to dress in the best that they can afford. Your dress sounds like it would be fine, If you'd like to see what people typically wear at Tunisian weddings, you can view my photo album of my brother-in-law's wedding: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jamie_hassen/sets/72157600447276740/ To see other pictures depicting the way of life in Tunisia (including how we dress), you can view my Flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jamie_hassen/sets If you have any more questions, or if I can be of any more assistance, please feel free to contact me.
