Q: Just to let u know, it's a package tour with full board. If follow the itinery, we'll be staying at Hotel Royal Miramar Thalasso. Any suggestion on souvenier from Tunisia?

A: Different people like different things. I myself think that pictures make the best souvenirs. Last weekend when I went to Djerba, we bought a really pretty pottery jar and I absolutely love it. It makes such a beautiful accent to my living room and was very cheap. Desert Roses are also nice to have. In the touristicy places you can buy glass containers and fill them up with perfume (I suggest the jasmine) and those are nice as well. A lot of people will also buy the little golden plates with a scene from Tunisia on them and have their names engraved into them. Mosaics, old-style drums, shirts, red coral necklaces and bracelets, and the souvenir camels are also very popular. Like I said, it is really a matter of personal preference. Whatever you wind up buying, make sure you do it because you like it and it reminds you of Tunisia, not just because it's what everyone else is buying! Good luck!
