Q: I am thinking of going on holiday in Tunisia around the middle of April but have heard conflicting reports of the weather. I do want a sun holiday & weather warm enough to sunbathe & swim in the pool. I wonder which region might have the best weather at that time of year.

A: March and April are the two spring months where the weather changes the most here in Tunisia. One day it can be hit and miss weather wise. Sometimes it's nice and sunny, other times it's rainy - it's hard to predict. This winter has been pretty mild, so I imagine the spring will be too. You should be fine in the coastal and northern resorts (Monastir, Mahdia, Hammamet, Sousse, Tabarka, etc). Djerba should be fine as well. I would advise against the resorts that are closer to the Sahara however because during the spring there are a lot of sand storms. Last year when my family went to the Sahara we had to keep our faces covered to keep out the sand, and weren't able to eat outdoors (you could literally see the sand on tables and plates). Hope that you have a wonderful vacation, and if I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.
