Q: can you tell me anything about tunisia. food, nightlife, customs , do;s and dont;s.

A: You'll have a nice time as long as your open minded. It's not strict Muslim at all, and there's plenty of nightlife. The people are lovely and have a fabulous flair for languages. Be prepared to barter. You may get approached by people trying to sell things, but be polite - they're not aggressive at all and are just tryng to earn a living. Walk off when they suggest a ridiculous price to you, and they'll come running after you with a better deal. Take sun screen - it's hot! Don't worry about covering up in the resorts - tourists are welcome everywhere. Food is good - of course cous cous. But try 'Malewee' or 'chapati' which are spicy sandwiches - but beware of HARISSA which is an extremely hot chilli paste used as a condiment or in cooking. Nice but HOT! Don't drink the tap water - but do have a try of the local brew 'Celtia' which is a nice tipple. Also try the local spirit - 'Boha' which is worth a shot! Go quad biking, that's great fun, and paragliding. Or if you're going to Tunis visit Sidi Bou Said which is lovely. A very good tip is 1 dinar (40p). Where are you going?
