Labour Ban in abu Dhabi?

Q: Iam working in abu Dhabi since September 2003. My status as per Visa is Assistant Engineer. Now can i change my job for better oppurtunities. My present employer will not give NOC. in this case will i get emigration ban?, if so, is there any possibility to lift the ban by self or by my future employer?. What is the present rule? please help.......

A: Try to find an amicable solution with your present employer. You also could involve the Labour Department. Also when can not demand a NOC, the officers of the Labour Department always try to talk the employer into providing a NOC. If not possible, you have to leave the country and come back for new employment after six months. The ban only can be waived if a NOC is provided. The six months ban is no immigration ban. You always can apply for a visit visa. You are just not allowed to yake a job during this time. All the best.
