Q: Hi I am Citizen of India, now i live in California,USA i have permenent resident card. i m planning to go on a tour to dubai my uncle is there. he also working for my visa in dubai he said the visa will be here 1st week of july. how does that work will i be able book ticket right after my visa gets here?...i don't understand this prosses?
A: I'd recommend you wait for the visa to get sorted out first. My friend's sponsoring his sister from India. The immigration officials mistakenly set her profession to housewife, when she's not even married yet and they say it'll take around 10 days to get her a new modified visa. So, you don't want to bear ticket change charges when something like that crops up. And yes, you can book your ticket right after your visa is ready. Your uncle will need you to either fax you or email you a scanned copy of the visa. Let your uncle know your date of arrival. He needs to deposit your visa at the airport before your arrival. When you arrive at the Dubai Airport, you show your scanned / faxed copy and they will exchange it for the original visa. It's not much of a hassle if you know the details.
