Q: I'm traveling in the UAE now, and returning to the US shortly. Can I bring dates back with me to share with my family? Or does that count as the fruits and vegetables that customs won't let you through with? I have some prepackaged dates as well as loose dates. Is there a chance they will examine them and say the loose ones or fine, or should I not even bother?
A: Dear I used to take dates in my every vacation to home land. I didn't faced any problems in customs or anywhere. Anyhow packed dates in your checked in baggage will not be a problem and (joke) just give a sample to customs people if they check thoroughly, They will become happy and let you in/out.,. Obviously you can take the dates to your homeland to share the taste of dates with your near & dears Thx
