Q: I need to travel from Abu Dhabi to Academic City and back, on a daily basis (Saturday-Thursday). Approx timings will be: 4:30pm - Depart from Abu Dhabi 10:30pm - Depart from Academic City Any suggestions as to what the most cost-effective option would be?
A: This is horrendous ! And you can't have any other worst time ! 1st. Departing from Abu Dhabi at 4:30pm means arrival in Jebel Ali, Dubai at 5:30 pm.... what does this means? This means you are in the worst traffic time both for the Shk. Zayed Road and Emirates Road going to Dubai Academic City ! And for your question.... buy and drive a car. A Mitrubishi 1.3L is the cheapest. Commuting (by taxi, by bus or sharing) would be the most expensive means not mentioning the time you are going to waste in waiting and in finding one ! And besides, no taxi will come and pick-you up from Academic to AUH for a normal fee. Drive and go. Your AED 50Hs. gas for the above car will give you at least 4 trips !
