A: A new visa that being introduced is the mission visa. It is issued for the purpose of temporary work in the country, has a maximum validity of 180 days and comes for a combined fee of Dhs 1,800. It is initially issued for three months against a fee of Dhs 600 and can be renewed for three more months against a fee of Dhs 1,200. This new visa has been introduced to facilitate the UAE labour ministry's Temporary Work Permit system. An applicant must first obtain the permit from the ministry to get the visa. In case you take temporary employment in the UAE (maybe just for a special project), this would be the right visa for you. It's almost comparable to a residence visa, but will not be valid for 3 years. Difference is that you will enter the country on the mission visa instead on an emplyment visa which then will be converted into a residence visa. Your sponsor/company has to apply and pay for it. Procedere is the same like with any other e visa. Let the PRO take care of it. Take care.
