Q: My friend went to Dubai and said she went to this mall that was all gold, i mean, even the trash cans were gold. she said that it was really exclusive and where only royalty went. she got there because she stayed with a prince there with lots of her friends. does this mall exist? if so, what is it called?
A: I have been to Dubai 9 times in the last 3 years and have never heard of this mall. However, there is a series of markets collectively called the Gold Souk (Souk is, I believe, a generic Arabic term for market). Gold *everywhere*... this souk is in Deira (more or less the center of Dubai). The Gold Souk is open to the public.
