Q: hi, i just got invited to a wedding of a friend. it would be my first time to witness a muslim wedding (he is a local) and i am not sure what to give as a gift. please help!!! been thinking for a while now.

A: MUSLIMS drinking is not by choice or OPEN MINDNESS! ITS religion requirement to FORBID ALCOHOL as it is forbidden for Christians in bible and in Hindu scriptures too! anyways for the question above, as a Muslim and been in Dubai i would suggest a nice ATTAR(a perfume without alcohol) natural perfumed oil (prayers are not allowed if u are wearing reg perfume cuz of alcohol in there) the site i attached is just an example but real good ATTARS which locals wears can cost more than $500+ u can check it out at dubai airport. 2:another gift you can get is if couple is practicing Muslim that there is no better gift than an Islamic gift exp: GIVING A QURAN(could be digital quran or TAJWEED QURAN-teaches u how to read with proper recital) or a nice ABAYA for the bride. BUT AGAIN JUST A REMINDER LOCALS WEAR VeRY EXP ABAYA'S it could cost you anywhere from $200-$1000+ you can find them at airport or malls. if abaya's are exp u can buy SHEILA( HEAD SCARF WITH EMBROIDERY DESIGNS OR DIAMONDS/STONES ON IT) I HAVE ATTACHED A LINK SO YOU CAN HAVE AN IDEA. THERE IS A LOT TO LIST once u land in dubai, at the airport itself you will find many amazing things that you can buy:) have fun shopping and have fun in the wedding, you will have blast:) believe me:) if u need any more assistance let me know i will send u more links:)
