Q: What if a Phill. familydriver don't get NOC from the family to go to another job? What if she/he cancel? Is there still a ban even if is almost 8 years working at same family? What are her/his rights or compensation? What can the new employer (government) do to help? Please some proff. advice!!
A: As a driver you fall under the category of domestic helpers who do not fall under the UAE Labor Law where are end of service benefits are regulated. I assume you received a new contract every two years what made you working like a contractor. Terms and conditions regarding your job should be written down in your work contract. You can transfer your sponsorship but you do need a NoC. Otherwise a ban will be imposed. Please fulfill your current contract and seek for an amicable solution. Good luck and all the best.
